In addition, the full text of stories from the six most recent issues of the magazine is available on this website. Many stories and lessons are available on this website for free or at low cost.

Brick Walls of Justice: Here are some prompts to inspire you: Do you have a strong feeling about an article you read in the current issue YCteen? You will get one-on-one mentoring from a professional editor, write personal stories about your life, go on field trips, and make friends with other writers. YCteen Writing Contest Deadline: Many stories and lessons are available on this website for free or at low cost.

Finding a Way Out: Essays will be edited for length and clarity. YCteenby and for New York City high school students, or Representby and for young people in foster care.

Brick Walls of Justice: We will yctteen to all applicants by June 7. If you disagree with the writer, explain why you think differently or how you might have handled the situation. You may only enter the essay contest if you live in a group home, juvenile detention center, or with a foster family; or if you used to be in foster care.

Start your letter with “Dear [writer’s name]” and reference the article by the title.
